Kalamazoo's hybrid grill is built to do some serious cookin'.
Living Under the Stars
Just a few years ago, an outdoor living space included a grill and seating area. Now, with technological advances, it rivals the main kitchen of the home. "We see people spending as much on outdoor kitchens as they traditionally have on indoor kitchens," says Jack Doolittle, co-owner of Doolittle Distributing. "People really put a lot of thought into them." Outdoor spaces are generally broken into sections for entertaining, prepping, cooking and serving. And appliances are popping up everywhere, from stainless steel cabinetry, ice makers and wine cellars to double-duty grills, furniture-like patio heaters and wood-fired ovens. Be sure to check out the following products we think deserve some attention.
Fuel for the Fire
Kansas City is a barbecue town, and Kalamazoo's hybrid grill is built to do some serious cookin'. Coincidence? The powerful gas burners are below the hybrid drawer system and can be used alone. But if you want to try wood or charcoal, simply put it in the drawer; the gas burners will start the fire or keep the heat for a longer period of time. www.kalamazoogourmet.com
